#Onward18
I believe alderpeople are the voice and feet for the community. The alderperson is to be the chief community organizer, empowering their community to be involved in its preservation and development. An alderperson is responsible to their constituents daily to disseminate information to and from city council, to improve the living experience of residents, and to maintain a high quality of life for the community. The alderperson is responsible to represent the community in city council, city events, and be involved in the community around their ward limits.
The 18th Ward deserves this as well. Join us and together let’s be #Onward18!
The 18th Ward deserves:
Developing residential and commercial infrastructure through –
Persistent engagement with residents about their city service needs
Pursuing input from residents to set priorities in the budget
Proactively securing economic development that brings quality educational opportunities and livable wage jobs into our ward
Advancing community resources for all through –
Expanding services and activities that support children, youth, working families, veterans, seniors, unhoused, disabled and ESL residents, and others
Elevating community civic organizations
Making financial assistance and mental health services available and accessible
Promoting community-engaged public safety through –
Creating a community network of organized and
revitalized block clubs and neighborhood watch programs
Collaborating with the CAPS program and new ECPS Council to strengthen safety efforts
